For my first solo exhibition Silent Blessing, I decided to shoot a series of portraits of friends and acquaintances. I picked my models based on their look but also on their stories. Often my fascination to some details such as lips or hairs are my drive for my selection. The exhibition explores the creation of deities and saints, and I tried to find certain elements of divine in my models. The shooting in some case went like a therapy, through talking, emotion released and through props, catalysis happened. I shot 15 people in 2 weeks, sometimes 2 people a day, it became a ritual with little planning…
