For my inaugural solo exhibition, Silent Blessing, I embarked on capturing a series of portraits featuring friends and acquaintances. I selected my models not only for their distinct appearances but also for their compelling personal stories. My artistic choices were often inspired by specific details that caught my fascination, such as the curve of lips or the fall of hair. The exhibition delves into the notion of crafting deities and saints, and in each model, I sought to capture elements of the divine. The photo sessions themselves sometimes transformed into therapeutic encounters. Through heartfelt conversations, emotions were unveiled, and with the aid of props, transformative moments were catalyzed. Over two weeks, I photographed 15 individuals, sometimes engaging with two subjects in a single day. This process evolved into a ritual, marked by spontaneity and minimal planning.
